As a person fighting a long-term illness and in public health, I see a big disconnect between the public health information and the medical community.  The information does not seem to make it to the doctors or the doctors are too busy to keep up with the information.  I think to be a healthiest nation we need to improve communication between the two entities.  I try to educate people and share information.  The people's line of defense is seeing a doctor.  I have seen too many misinformed patients by doctors, including myself.  I find myself educating the doctors and wonder why I'm paying them.  These are thoughts I wanted to share.
